The latest victims of the forclosure crisis... 4 potbellied pigs who were recntly surrendered after the owner had them living on a school bus! Sherman, Claire, Newton and little Hickory. They have settled in great at MFAR and have found new love in their mud holes on the hot summer days.

Who We Are:
Midwest Farm Animal Rescue was founded in 1998. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization. 100% of your donations are tax deductible and the great thing is that 100% goes directly to the animals! We do not have any paid staff, no corporate jets, Swiss bank accounts or luxury condos in foreign lands. The animals are rescued and cared for daily, by volunteers. The costs we have are specialty feeds, vet expenses, hay, straw, woodshavings, and farm supplies like water heaters, tanks, garden hoses, electric cords... nothing too fancy. What what we have seen over the last few months, is an influx of calls from people who can no longer afford to feed their animals. Many people in our area, WI and MN have horses and goats as pets. With the price of hay and gasoline going up people are calling to surrender their animals and they have no where else to go. I was told recently that I should tell people to "shoot their horses if they can't feed them, it's better than letting them starve". I would like to think that MFAR can give people another option.

With your sponsorship you will receive a personal letter from your sponsored animal, with pictures and the story of how your animal came to the rescue.
